Why did you become a teacher?

Let’s explore why others made that choice. Some have found other areas of study too challenging and changed their major so that could graduate. Others joined the teaching profession to get three months off work during the summer. I know of spouses who have become teachers to get their spouses through medical school with every intention of quitting on their spouse’s graduation day. I know people who became teachers for the money!

But wait, why should students choose teaching as a profession?

A small minority of students have become teachers because their hero was their favorite teacherIf you have a gift that allows you to explain things easily to others when they cannot seem to “get it." However, if you love teaching; if you seem to have an innate enthusiasm and a lust for life, if you always want to help others ,then you are a candidate. If you do not know why, and it seems that pedagogy just seemed to be what you born to do, then you are “teacher."

Think for a minute .....why did you become a teacher? If the answer lies in the first paragraph, you need to quit!!

If the answer is in the second paragraph, congratulations for you are a happy, fulfilled person.
